I just got word that Dickfore will be doing three screenings in Germany as part of the Low & No Budget VideoFilmFestival Tour 2009!

So if you’re in Stuttgart or Mainz, Germany, go check out the festival. Screening details below.

Special thanks to Mike Peterson for hooking me up with the festival!

For everyone, like me, who won’t be able to make it to Germany, I tracked down three films that will also be shown at the festival with Dickfore and I’ve embedded them below. It’s almost like we’re there!

Dickfore Premieres At The 4th Annual Calgary (Super 8) Filmmaker’s Challenge

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Dickfore will be premiering as an entry at the 4th Annual Calgary (Super 8) Filmmaker’s Challenge this Thursday. Here are the details.

Thursday, March 26 at The Distillery Public House (839 5 Ave SW) in Calgary, AB. Doors at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm.

This is the only time this cut of the film will screen! This is the rushed get-it-in-on-time cut of the film which I will be revisiting with a real editor later. Also, my apologies to director of photography Dan Dumouchel for misspelling his name in the short’s credits and the poster below! (Note about below poster: this is not actually the final poster, just something I did up at for fun!) EDIT: Also misspelled in the poster – producer Marc Vandergraaf.

A Temp Poster for Dickfore!

Production Stills from Dickfore

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Hey kids!

My friend, Derek Bisbing, was good enough to come out to the set of Dickfore and do our still photography. He just posted them on his site and they look fantastic! Check ’em out below!

Dickfore is in the Can

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Shot my Calgary (Super 8 ) Challenge film on Sunday and now its time for editing!

I want to thank everyone who came out and worked on it. We had a great cast and crew who were both talented and patient.  (Which is good because I learned a good lesson about scheduling; lets just say it should have been a two day shoot!)

Once I get the short all edited together, it will screen on March 26th at The Distillery Public House in Calgary as part of over a dozen other films created for the Calgary (Super 8 ) Filmmaker’s Challenge.
